Friday October 4th

The sun is shining again and the wind calmed down today, allowing one more task.

It is a 48.5km race to goal, with 3 turnpoints. A first group of pilot is landing around 10km, and the other ones are landing all the way. Patrick Berod leads most of the task, and the other ones are following him. He finds a 3.5m/s thermal above a cliff and is the first one to attempt the final glide to the goal surrended by two rivers. No luck for him, he lands 400m before goal. 5 minutes later, Tsuji and Scotty are coming and Tsuji lands just before goal having to cross the river by foot.

Tsuji Tsuyoshi (J) wins the task, followed by Patrick Berod (F) and Scotty Marion (USA). Louise Crandal (DEN) is the first women, followed by Petra Krausova (CZ) and Junghun Park (KOR).

Scotty Marion (USA) now leads the Mun Gyeong competition ranking, followed by Kaoru Ogisawa (J) and Tsuji Tsuyoshi (J). Louise Crandal (DEN) is the leading women, followed by Noriko Mizunuma (J) and Petra Krausova (CZ).

The world cup ranking remains unchanged with Alex Hofer (CH) still leading, followed by Sctty Marion (USA) and Jean-Marc Caron (F). For the women, Petra Krausova (CZ) is still leading and followed by Louise Crandal (DEN) and Elisabeth Rauchenberger (CH).

We are very close to the final ranking with just one more day to fly.

Tonight we have the PWCA General Assembly. Resigning: Andreas Birenstihl, Steve Ham, Grego Lasek. New comers in the PWCA committee: Frank Brown, Volker Nies, Torsten Siegel. Stefan Mast is re-elected.
