Sunday, April 11th, 2004 - Race to goal of 62km

The weather really improved starting yesterday late afternoon and today the blue sky is finally there !

All pilots are moving to Rubio's launch area. A 62km race to goal is starting at 12:20.

Christian Maurer (Ch) is the first reaching goal in 2h04, with an average speed of nearly 30 km/h. Steve Cox (CH) is second and Bruce Goldsmith (UK) third. The first woman in goal is our World Cup Champion 2004... Petra Krausova. She is followed by Caroll Licini and Karin Appenzeller, both from Switzerland.

As we have only one task in this event, these results are also the competition results and the first World Cup Ranking 2004.

Weather is worse than yesterday and we don't even move to the launch area. Pilots have a free day to visit the surrounding like Venice.

The weather is expected to improve in the next days...

Monday, April 5th, 2004 - no task

Everybody is moving to the launch area, but low clouds and showers are preventing any good task to be flown.

Some pilots are flying at the end of the afternoon, and manage to fly 30 to 40km but sometime under the rain.

The headquarters are located in an Heineken brewery which is a perfect place for parawaiting and local legal drugs testing.

Yesterday, the brewery was the meeting point for the italian bikers. The place is a little quiter now.
