Today's team podium

The weather has improved again with many small cumulus and clear sky.

Some strong wind caused troubles to a couple of pilots around the Parmelan, but more than 65 pilots are reaching goal.

Today's team podium

It is a elapsed time of 62km that is starting at 15:30. Many pilots are going to the start limit quite late due to changing thermal activity. A large group of pilots are starting after the start deadline that has been set to 17:00. They have to go first to Villaz, then to Roc des Boeufs, then back to the La Forclaz pass near the launch area, then to Naves church (close to the Parmelan ridge), then goal in the city center of Annecy on the lakeside !

85 pilots are reaching goal, a few are landing a few hundreds meters short.

The show at the "Paquier", right in the center of Annecy is enjoyed by the public who is able to follow a large part of the task from the ground as almost all turnpoints are visible from there.

Christian Maurer (CH) is winning the task. Oliver Rössel (D) is second and Frank Brown (BRA) is 3rd.

Noriko Mizunuma (J) is the fastest woman, followed by Karin Appenzeller (CH) and Elisa Houdry (F).

Oliver Rössel now leads the event ranking, followed by Frank Brown and Christian Tamegger (A). For the women, Petra Krausova is still leading and followed by Elisabeth Rauchenberger (CH) and Elisa Houdry (F).

For the World Cup ranking, we have the same 3 pilots, but in a different order: Oliver is first, Christian Tamegger second and Frank third. No change for the women World Cup ranking, Petra is still leading, followed by Louise Crandal (DEN) and Caroline Brille (F).

For tonight, Advance is offering a cocktail, then a giant paella is organized at the Perroix landing, below Planfait take-off.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is good, and the first briefing will take place at 10:00...
