The conditions are difficult and looks very stable. The Pilot committee (with Patrick Bérod and Volker Nies) hesitates between two tasks: one on the Tapalpa plateau and the other in the valley. Finally, a 68km race to goal is set in the valley area. Anyhow the conditions stays stable everywhere and pilots are fighting more than two hours, but almost nobody is flying over 42km.Nobody ? No !
Olivier Nef is making the second turnpoint over the village of La Milpilla and lands after a 51km flight.
He is the only pilot to fly over the validation distance of 45km, and the task will then be scored only on 50 points and not included in the World Cup ranking.
Olivier Nef (CH) wins the task, followed by Dejan Adamovic (SLO) and Jens Kierdorf (D). Nicole Nussbaum (CH) is the first women, followed by Caroline Brille (F) and Louise Crandal (DEN).
The competition ranking remains unchanged. No team podium today.
