Today's task is very simple: one startpoint then goal at Chapala's Lake. Total: 72 km.

The conditions are quite stable above the valley, and some pilots have difficulty to climb on the Tapalpa plateau. While crossing the wide valley, the leading group is forced to land around km 37. The following group of pilots cross the valley and many land around km 55. In the remaining ones, only 4 pilots are reaching goal.

Marco Arnold (F) wins the task followed by Juraj Kleja (SVK) and Len Szafaryn (USA). Petra Krausova (CZ) if the leading woman, followed by Cheris Silvera (USA) and Nicole Nussbaum (CH).

Ogisawa Kaoru (J) nows leads the competition, followed by Greg Blondeau (F) and Bruce Goldsmith (GB) and the women ranking doesn't change (Louise, Petra, Eliane).
