Today's task is 78km long. The take-off is located at the Mont Chéry in Les Gets, the first turnpoint at the Corbier pass, close to Thonon les bains, then Sixt, back to Morzine, Avoriaz and the Nyon Plateau.

The Window opens at 13:30 and the task starts at 14:00. The first turnpoint is the first difficult point encountered by the pilots. Low ceiling, weak thermals and strong valley wind is not helping them !

After that first difficulty, many pilots land after 26km of flight and more than 4 hours of flight for some of them. A group of less than 20 pilots manage to fly above the pass that leads to the next turnpoint (Sixt). Nobody reaches goal and only 15 pilots fly above the 36km validation distance. The task is scored on only 750 points and does not count for the Paragliding World Cup ranking.

Torsten Siegel (D) reaches 56.6km, followed by Steve Cox (CH), Oliver Rössel (D) and Xevi Bonet Dalmau (E). For the women, Caroline Brille (F) reaches 28.9km, followed by Naomi Ventura (CH) and Elisabeth Rauchenberger (CH).
